Lynne Chronister
Assistant Vice Provost for Research and Executive Director of Sponsored Programs
University of Washington, Seattle WA
Lynne Chronister serves as Assistant Vice Provost for Research at the University of Washington. With sponsored awards at over $1.1 Billion, UW is one of the largest research universities in the United States.
Until February of 2008, Lynne was Vice Chancellor for Research, at the University of California, Davis and had a Volunteer Clinical Faculty appointment in the Department of Public Health Sciences within the School of Medicine.
Previously, Ms. Chronister was Director of Sponsored Projects and Research at the University of Utah, Mississippi State University and the University of South Alabama. She has served on numerous international and national task forces, boards, and review committees and is listed in International Who’s Who and the Who’s Who in Executives and Business.
Lynne co-edited and wrote Research Administration and Management, the definitive and only book available for researchers and research administrators on building and managing university research administration programs.
She has a BA in Experimental Psychology from the University of Vermont, and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of South Alabama.

Institutional Change

Dr. Candis Claiborn
Dean and Professor, College of Engineering and Architecture
College of Engineering and Architecture Dean and Professor, Dr. Claiborn started her engineering career by earning a B.S. in Chemical Engineering (University of Idaho) and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering (North Carolina State University). She served as a Process Engineer with Chevron, a Senior Process Control Engineer with ARCO Petroleum Products and Site Technician with Mountain Cloud Chemistry Project, NCSU. In 1991 she came to WSU as Assistant Professor, and was promoted to Associate Professor in 1997 and Professor in 2003. She served as Interim Dean in 2002 before being appointed Dean of the College in 2003. Dr. Claiborn has conducted research in Atmospheric aerosols, receptor modeling, atmosphere-biosphere interactions and airborne particulate matter and teaches Atmospheric Aerosols, Air Pollution Control, Introduction to and Principles of Environmental Engineering, Engineering Ethics and Professionalism, and Ethics Issues in Science and Technology. She has written or co-written several publications and has received numerous awards, including Outstanding Teaching Faculty Award, the Leon Luck Faculty Award for most effective faculty member, Outstanding Teaching Faculty Award in Civil Engineering and the Richard Crain Faculty Award for Distinction in Ethics Teaching.
Professional Change

Alicia C. Saldivar
Coordinator of Leadership Programs & Multicultural Student Organizations,
Office of Student Involvement & Leadership Development
Before coming to WSU in 2006, Alicia worked at Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR after receiving her BA in Ethnic Studies from the University of Oregon in 2003. She has recently mjoved full time to the Office of Student Involvement & Leadership Development (SILD) after service both SILD and the Center for Fraternity & Sorority Life in a dual position for two and a half years. In recognition of her hard wrok and dedication to student success, Alicia was awarded the 2007 Student Affairs Newcomer of the year award. Currently, Alicia oversees the Cougar Leadership Program in SILD in addition to her work advising various culturally based ASWSU Committees. Working closely and collaboratively with numerous student leaders each year, Alicia is immersed in student and advisor leadership here at WSU and dedicates her time to helping individual student leaders and organizations thrive. Outside of the office, Alicia also serves as a member of the Administrative Professional Advisory Council (APAC), the Chicano/a Latino/a Faculty Staff Association (CLFSA) and the Board of Directors for Gamma Alpha Omega Sorority, Inc.

Rebecca J. Morton
Finance Manager, VCAPP; Chair, Work Life Committee
Long-time WSU employee Rebecca (Becky) Morton received her BA in Business Administration in 1993. Becky serves as the current Chair of the Work LIfe Advisory Committee and is past chair of the Administrative Professional Advisory Council (APAC), College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) Dean's Advisory Council and the Staff Senate Training Committee. She has been an active member of many additional committees and groups in her home department of Veterinary and Comparative Anatomy, Pharmacology and Physiology (VCAPP), in the CVM and at WSU.
Recently inducted into the Quarter Century Club at WSU, her years of service have garnered her the CVM Dean's Staff Excellence award, the SPA (Sponsored Programs Administration) Service award, International Programs Recognition award, Mentor of the Year award and, most recently, the Washington State University President's Employee Excellence award. Becky is a member of NAFSA (professional organization for immigration) and NCURA, (professional organization for grant administrators). Her hobbies include reading, sewing, traveling and helping others.

Donna Paul
Assistant Professor, College of Business
Donna Paul is an Assistant Professor in the College of Business and was born and raised in the twin-island state of Trinidad & Tobago. She received her Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Oregon, her MBA from Stanford University, and her B.S. from the University of the West Indies. Before coming to WSU in 2003, Donna was a faculty member at Babson College in Wellesley, MA and also worked for several years as a financial analyst in the petroleum industry in Trinidad.
Psychological Change

Scott Case
Psychologist & EAP Coordinator, Counseling Services
Currently WSU Counseling Services Licensed Faculty Psychologist; Program Coordinator of the WSU Employee Assistance Program and Stress Management program, Scott Case received his Bachelor's Degree, Summa Cum Laude, from Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Hehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Case has been at WSU since 2003 and coordinates both the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Stress Management Program (SMP), and also works as a licensed faculty psychologist supervising psychologists in training, Medical Psychology trainees, conducting workshops, therapy groups and he engages in conflict resolution and consultation for WSU Human Resources, providing psychological support to our university employees.
Scott was formerly Director of the Colorado State University Stress Management Program and Colorado State University counseling Center Senior Staff Therapist.

John Nofsinger
Associate Professor, Finance Insurance & Real Estate
John is an Associate Professor of Finance and the Nihoul Faculty Fellow in finance at Washington State University. He is one of the world's leading experts in behavioral finance and is a frequent speaker on this topic at investment management conferences, universities, and academic conferences. He has often been quoted or appeared in the financial media, including The Wall Street Journal, financial Times, Fortune, Business Week, Smart Money, Money Magazine, Washington Post, Bloom Berg, and CNBC and other media from The Donans to TheStreet.com.
He has authored (or coauthored) seven trade books and textbooks that have been translated into six different languages. The book, The Psychology of Investing, is in its third edition. John is also a highly successful scholar. He has published more than 30 articles in prestigious scholarly journals (such as the Journal of Finance and Journal of Business) and practitioner journals (such as the Financial Analysts Journal and Journal of Wealth Management). He has conducted research for groups such as private investment firms, the New York Stock Exchange, the CFA Institute, and policy think-tanks. His academic research activities have won many awards.
Recently, he started a blog called "Mind on My Money" at the Psychology Today blog site.
